Rules
​

   2025 Little League Tournament rules will apply as published by Little League Inc., along with regular season rules.  Tournament rules supersede regular rules.

SUPPLEMENTAL TOURNAMENT RULES

  • All softball use in tournament will be supplied by Maryland District 5.  Teams need to provide their own practice balls.

  • A mandatory Manager meeting with the Tournament Officials will be held on Friday, August 1.

  • Manager and Coaches must wear matching shirt and long pants during each game played. Jeans are not permitted.

  • The first team listed (visitor) will be in the first base dugout.  The second team listed (home) will be in third base dugout.

  • Tournament director will have a meeting with manager, coaches and umpire at start of each game.

  • Players, Coaches and Manager will be announced at the start of each game and will recite the Little League pledge.

  • Game times and dates are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions and unforeseen issues.

  • The fields are the responsibility of the host league for maintenance and preparations for all games.

  • The host league along with the tournament director will decide on the fitness of the playing field before the game begins.

  • No air horns, cow bells or noise makes will be permitted during the game.

  • No dogs/pets are permitted on complex unless they are service animal.

  • Prior to the start of the game, the available field and batting cage time will be divided equally between the two teams.  The teams will practice before the game and game will start at the game time. 

  • No cell phone or electronic devices in the dugout unless using Game Changer Electronic score keeper.

 

LOCAL LAWS AND LITTLE LEAGUE RULES

North East and its surrounding areas follow all Maryland state laws relating to driving speed and public conduct.

 

While at the complex, the following rules govern and are enforced:

  • No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted on the premises.

  • No tobacco products, including chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes or vapes are permitted.

  • Other than service dogs, no animals are permitted on the premises.

  • Use of profanity is unacceptable, and offenders will be asked to leave the premises.  This applies for players, coaches, managers, umpires and fans.

  • Spectators shall not be permitted on any fencing surrounding the field of play

  • Parking on Route 272 is prohibited, as it is emergency parking only.

  • The complex has port a pots.
